153 Suspected ISIS Members Arrested in Nationwide Operations in Turkey


Ankara: Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerli Kaya announced the arrest of 153 individuals on suspicion of being members of the terrorist organization ISIS. The arrests took place as part of a series of operations conducted by gendarmerie forces across 28 provinces over the past two weeks.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operations targeted individuals believed to be affiliated with ISIS. The Interior Minister detailed that the investigations uncovered the suspects’ involvement in financing organizations allegedly linked to ISIS and promoting the group’s propaganda through social media platforms. The operations underscore Turkey’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and dismantle networks associated with ISIS within its borders.
