Baghdad: Civil Defense teams successfully controlled and extinguished a fire that erupted inside a commercial building in the Talabiya area, with no human casualties reported.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident occurred in a three-story building where the ground floor housed shops and the upper floors contained apartments for workers. The building was covered with flammable elastomer panels, which was a violation of the safety instructions set by the Civil Defense Directorate. This violation has now been referred to the competent judicial authorities under the Civil Defense Law.

The swift intervention of the Civil Defense teams involved immediate containment of the fire. They conducted direct raids to penetrate the center of the building, achieving full control over the fire and extinguishing it without any injuries. Their prompt action also minimized the material damage caused by the blaze.
