Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, has called for an immediate cessation of the hardships inflicted on the Palestinian people, attributed to what he described as the “Zionist starvation policy.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his address at the conference on the Islamic Day for Combating Violence against Women, President Rashid highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by the Palestinian community. He pointed out that the daily adversities, including killings, particularly impact Palestinian women, serving as a clear indication of discriminatory practices and the presence of double standards.

Furthermore, President Rashid emphasized the growing issue of violence against women, which he noted is increasing in both Islamic and non-Islamic societies. He stressed that this trend runs counter to the principles espoused by divine messages, constitutions, and laws, which advocate for the respect and dignity of women.
