Al-Lami Commends Media Efforts in Najaf During High-Level Meeting


Baghdad: The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and Arab Journalists Federation, Mu’ayyad al-Lami, recently welcomed several prominent figures from the Najaf branches of various syndicates at his office in Baghdad. Among those present were Ayad al-Jubouri, head of the Najaf branch of the Journalists Syndicate; Ahmed al-Fatlawi, director of government media and communications; and Nazim Zahi, head of the Najaf branch of the Artists Syndicate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Lami expressed his admiration for the media professionals and journalists in Najaf Governorate, lauding them as honest writers who play a crucial role in portraying an accurate image of the holy city. He acknowledged the significant contributions of the heads of the branches, media, and government communications in facilitating journalistic and media efforts for both individuals and institutions.

Al-Lami also emphasized the importance of the Arbaeen pilgrimage, urging journalists and media professionals to focus their eff
orts on effectively covering this significant event. He highlighted the media’s role in showcasing the pilgrimage to a wider audience, thereby ensuring its success.

Fatlawi added that the meeting was part of ongoing communication with the House of Journalists and Media Professionals, aimed at addressing various issues faced by those working in the media sector.
