Baghdad: The Accounting Department at the Ministry of Finance held an expanded meeting, led by Director General Sawsan Khadir Khalaf, with representatives from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) to discuss enhancing joint cooperation in various areas.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on several key topics, including promoting digital transformation in accounting work and developing the human capabilities of the department’s staff. Additionally, the discussion included supporting infrastructure and activating control and governance systems.

This meeting is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to develop its administrative and technical systems and improve institutional performance to align with international standards.
