Hillah: The River Police of the Babylon Police Command have successfully recovered the bodies of two young men from the Euphrates River in the Ibrahimiyah area of the Hashimiyah District, located south of Hillah. The recovery operation was carried out today, as confirmed by the local authorities.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a report was received by the police detailing the unfortunate drowning incident involving the two young men while they were swimming in the Euphrates River. The river runs through the Hashimiyah District, where the incident took place.
Major General Adel Al-Husseini, the Media Director for Babylon Police, stated that the river police managed to recover the bodies within two hours of the report being filed. The bodies have since been transferred to the forensic medicine office to establish the cause of death.
