Baghdad: Karkh Police Command forces freed a kidnapped girl and arrested the gang involved in her kidnapping.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a statement, “After receiving a report that a girl had been kidnapped by unknown individuals and that they had blackmailed her father with a sum of money, Baghdad Karkh Police Commander, Major General Adnan Hassan Hamad, directed the formation of a working team from the Abu Dasheer Police Department, the Hatra Police Station, and the Abu Dasheer Rescue Sector.”

It added, “After searching, investigating, and monitoring surveillance cameras, the perpetrators were identified and a tight ambush was set up, resulting in their arrest.”

He explained that after in-depth investigation with them, the location of the kidnapped girl was determined, and she was freed and taken to the police station, where legal measures are being taken against the accused, and they will be presented to the judiciary.
