Baghdad: The Baghdad Operations Command has officially announced the start date for its security plan for the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Command Spokesman Brigadier General Abbas Hamid stated that the security plan will commence next Monday, August 4. The plan will involve broad participation from various security forces and agencies, each responsible for different areas. This coordinated effort is designed to ensure the safety of pilgrims as they travel through Baghdad towards the Karbala Governorate.
Hamid also confirmed that the security measures will not require road closures for vehicle traffic. All roads will remain open and are expected to maintain a high flow of traffic, similar to the arrangements made during last year’s pilgrimage.
