Baghdad: A number of MPs have submitted an official request to hold a special parliamentary session aimed at voting on the cancellation of the draft law of the Khor Abdullah Agreement of 2012. This move aligns with the Federal Court’s decision in 2023, which suspended the draft agreement.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the MPs are pushing for this session in response to the Federal Court’s recent decision. The Khor Abdullah Agreement, signed in 2012, has been a point of contention, and the court’s suspension has added momentum to efforts aimed at formally annulling the draft law.
