Al-Sudani Launches First Phase of Second Baiji Gas-Fired Power Plant


Salah al-din: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani launched the first phase of the second Baiji gas-fired power plant in Salah al-Din Governorate, with a total capacity of 1,014 megawatts.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, this development marks a significant step in enhancing Iraq’s energy infrastructure. The new power plant is expected to play a crucial role in meeting the increasing electricity demands in the region. The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to improving energy production capabilities and reducing outages across the governorate.
