Central Investigative Court Dismantles Local and International Drug Networks with Decisive Judicial Orders


Baghdad: The Central Investigative Court specializing in drug-related cases announced today the issuance of a series of decisive judicial rulings that led to the dismantling of some of the most dangerous local and international drug trafficking and distribution networks. This comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen community security and combat organized crime.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a press statement, the official spokesperson for the General Directorate of Drug Affairs, Legal Expert Hussein Youssef Al-Tamimi, stated that “the judge handling drug-related cases issued highly precise and strategic decisions based on intelligence information and extensive investigations. These efforts resulted in the seizure of large quantities of narcotics and weapons, as well as the arrest of individuals affiliated with local gangs and international drug mafias.”



Al-Tamimi emphasized that “the close cooperation between the court and the security and intelligence agencies, particularly the General Directorate of Drug Affairs, played a pivotal role in the success of these anti-drug operations.” He added that “the judicial decisions were marked by firmness and transparency, ensuring that the perpetrators do not escape justice.”
