Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandlawi discussed the problems facing them with the Chairman and representatives of the Local Councils Association. A statement from his media office stated that Al-Mandlawi received in his office on Monday evening a number of representatives of local councils from across Iraq’s governorates, headed by the Chairman of the Local Councils Association, Dawood Al-Jabri.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, the problems facing this segment were discussed from the legal and financial perspectives, as well as the mechanisms followed by the Local Councils Association to address them. Al-Mandlawi emphasized that this segment has provided services under special circumstances, and that he is interested in communicating with the relevant authorities to follow up on their issue and seek to resolve the problem in a manner consistent with the law as soon as possible.
