Karbala: Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani launched the implementation work of five major projects in the holy Karbala Governorate, worth two billion dollars, to produce meat, dairy, and fish farming.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, these projects are part of a strategic initiative to enhance the agricultural and food production sectors in the region. The projects aim to not only boost local production capacities but also to create job opportunities and stimulate economic growth within the governorate.

The new ventures are expected to significantly contribute to meeting the local demand for meat, dairy products, and fish, thereby reducing the dependency on imports. The government has emphasized the importance of these projects in ensuring food security and enhancing self-sufficiency in essential food items.

These developments come amid broader efforts by the Iraqi government to revitalize various sectors of the economy and promote sustainable development in line with national interests.
