President of Iraq Receives Letter from Chinese President on Strengthening Ties


Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received the Chinese Ambassador to Iraq, Cui Wei, at Baghdad Palace on Monday. During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between Iraq and China, emphasizing the necessity of advancing these relations to serve their common interests. The President highlighted the importance of expanding the horizons of bilateral cooperation across various sectors to benefit both nations.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Chinese Ambassador delivered a message from Chinese President Xi Jinping to President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid. In his message, President Xi expressed significant interest in developing relations between Iraq and China. He also affirmed his readiness to make efforts to enhance the existing partnership between the two countries to benefit their peoples.



Ambassador Cui Wei thanked President Rashid for his commitment to strengthening ties with China and reiterated his country’s dedication to furthering positive relations with Iraq in all fields.
