The 3-for-3 Alaska Summit Begins with Putin and Trump in Attendance


Anchorage: The Alaska Summit kicked off in a 3-for-3 format with the attendance of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump. The summit also includes the presence of the two countries’ foreign ministers, Marco Rubio and Sergey Lavrov, along with Putin’s assistant, Yuri Ashkakov, and US envoy, Steve Witkoff.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the summit aims to facilitate diplomatic discussions between the United States and Russia. The high-level meeting is expected to cover a range of bilateral issues, with both sides looking to make progress on various international matters.



The 3-for-3 format, which includes three representatives from each country, is intended to ensure a more focused dialogue, allowing leaders and their aides to directly address key topics of interest. The involvement of influential figures such as foreign ministers and special envoys underscores the importance both nations are placing on these negotiations.
