Baghdad: The Baghdad Operations Command announced on Friday the success of the security plan to secure the Arbaeen pilgrimage without any violations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Lieutenant General, Commander of Baghdad Operations, stated that “the plan was characterized by a high degree of fluidity, different from previous plans for the movement of vehicles and visitors.” The strategy ensured that no roads within the pilgrims’ axes and routes, as well as adjacent areas, were blocked. It also emphasized the avoidance of armed demonstrations and highlighted the full cooperation from citizens and Husseini procession owners with the security forces. Administrative services were provided to the honorable visitors throughout the pilgrimage, contributing to the success of the plan.
