Baghdad: The US Army announced its participation in the “Bright Star 2025” maneuvers with the Egyptian Army at Mohamed Najib Military Base in western Egypt.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated in a post on the “X” platform: “US military forces will participate with the Egyptian Armed Forces, along with other nations, in the Bright Star 2025 maneuvers at Mohamed Najib Military Base in Egypt, from August 28 to September 10, 2025.”

CENTCOM added in its post: “The Bright Star 2025 maneuvers represent an extension of the strategic security relationship between Egypt and the United States, a historic partnership that plays a leading role in combating terrorism, promoting regional security, and efforts to counter the spread of violent extremism.”
