Baghdad: The Baghdad Operations Command announced the arrest of a number of suspects in possession of 2,520 narcotic pills, forged badges, and unofficial seals.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a statement that during their security operations, the Baghdad Joint Operations Command detachments arrested a number of suspects, including four who were found with narcotic pills, forged badges, unofficial seals, and unauthorized passports.
A number of unlicensed weapons and ammunition were also seized during the operations, in addition to the confiscation of several vehicles and motorcycles that were violating traffic regulations. The Command explained that these duties were carried out through the installation of temporary surprise checkpoints in the past 48 hours on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa.
