Sharqat: The Popular Mobilization Forces and the Iraqi army have launched a joint security operation in the Sharqat district of Salah al-Din Governorate to pursue remnants of the terrorist group ISIS.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Popular Mobilization Commission announced the operation on Wednesday, emphasizing the collaborative effort between the 73rd Brigade within the Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the Iraqi army.

The operation involved comprehensive searches in the areas of Wadi al-Nuja, Tuwayna, Barari al-Jamila, and Sheikh Hamad, all within the Sharqat district. The primary objectives of this initiative are to maintain security and stability in the region, ensure the safety of civilians, and locate any remaining elements of the terrorist ISIS.
