Diwaniyah: Two people were injured in two separate gunfire incidents in Diwaniyah, leading to their admission to the hospital for treatment. In the first incident, a young man in his twenties was taken to Diwaniyah Teaching Hospital after he shot himself in the head with a pistol at his home in Al-Furat neighborhood, located in central Diwaniyah. The reasons behind this self-inflicted gunshot remain unknown.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a separate incident involved another individual who sustained injuries from gunfire while handling a weapon inside his home.
