Baghdad Operations: Arrest of Arabs and Foreigners for Residency Violations


Baghdad: The Baghdad Operations Command announced the arrest of Arabs and foreigners for residency violations. The Command stated in a statement that, in continuation of its regional security practices, the Baghdad Operations Command is carrying out a security exercise to search and inspect the region, review foreign labor files, and execute judicial arrest warrants within the areas of (Al-Amin, Al-Baladiyat, Shuhada Al-Bayaa, Abu Dutshir, Al-Buaitha, Al-I’lam, Al-Furat, Al-Jihad, Al-Amiriya, and Umm Al-Jadayel) on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa. This resulted in the arrest of 49 violators, including 39 foreigners and Arabs violating the regulations of the Department of Residency and Nationality.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation involved security forces from the leadership of Baghdad Police, Karkh and Rusafa, and the First and Second Divisions of the Federal Police, alongside intelligence agencies, to enhance security and stability and preserve the security achievement achieved.
