The INSS: 54 Terrorism Suspects Arrested During August


Baghdad: The Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) announced the arrest of 54 terrorism suspects during the month of August. This significant operation highlights the ongoing efforts by the INSS to combat terrorism and maintain security within the region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the INSS explained in a statement that alongside the arrest of 54 terrorism suspects, 30 drug dealers and promoters were also detained. Additionally, the operation led to the capture of 85 individuals involved in electronic blackmail. These arrests were part of a series of qualitative operations conducted by the INSS across various governorates in the country.



The coordinated efforts by the INSS demonstrate the agency’s commitment to addressing multiple security challenges, including terrorism, drug trafficking, and cybercrime. The operations are seen as a crucial step in enhancing national security and stability in Iraq.
