Baghdad: The Central Criminal Court has handed down a death sentence to a terrorist convicted of executing an armed assault on a security checkpoint in Baghdad.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Supreme Judicial Council released a statement detailing that the attack resulted in the deaths of two security personnel in the New Baghdad area. The court’s decision was based on the provisions outlined in Article 4/1, in conjunction with Articles 2/1, 3, 5, and 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2005.
