Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani visited the Land of Frankincense Museum at Al-Baleed Archaeological Park in the city of Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, on Thursday, as part of his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s media office stated that Al-Sudani toured the museum’s main halls, where he viewed prominent archaeological and cultural artifacts. He also received a detailed briefing on the museum’s history, its cultural significance, and its role in documenting Oman’s heritage across different eras, from ancient times to the Islamic period and into the modern renaissance.

During the visit, Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of museums as vital platforms for cultural exchange and for promoting values of mutual understanding and cooperation among nations. He also praised their role in enhancing historical and civilizational awareness.

At the end of his tour, the Prime Minister wrote a note of appreciation in the museum’s guest book.
