Iraq Joins ICAO’s TRAINAIR PLUS Global Training Program


Baghdad: The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA) has achieved a distinguished accomplishment by obtaining membership in the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) TRAINAIR PLUS Global Training Program, for the first time in the history of Iraqi civil aviation. This enhances Iraq’s position regionally and internationally in the field of civil aviation and specialized training.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the authority, Benkin Rekani, stated in a press release, “This achievement represents the fruit of sincere national efforts and an important step towards consolidating Iraq’s position in the field of international civil aviation, in line with our approach to sustainable development and adherence to international standards.”



For his part, the Director of the Civil Aviation Institute, Haider Hassan, affirmed his commitment to continuing to develop the institute’s capabilities and training programs to achieve the authority’s aspirations and support the ICAO strategy.
