Baquba: The body of a young man who drowned in the Diyala River was found by river police units.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a police source reported that the young man, in his twenties, drowned while swimming in the Diyala River near the Dar al-Salam district, north of Baquba, the provincial capital.

The source further stated that the river police successfully recovered the body and transferred it to the forensic medicine department for the completion of legal procedures.
