Baghdad Operations Command Initiates Security Operation to Tackle Unlicensed Weapons

Baghdad: The Baghdad Operations Command announced today the launch of a security operation targeting areas east of the capital to pursue outlaws in residential zones and conduct raids on unlicensed weapons dens.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command's media office released a statement indicating that the operation has commenced with the cordoning off and searching of the Al-Dasim, Tariq neighborhood, and Sabaa Qusour areas. These efforts aim to improve security and reduce unlawful activities in these regions.

The statement further detailed that formations of the Fifth Division of the Federal Police and the Baghdad Police Command in Rusafa are actively participating in the operation. They are receiving support from intelligence agencies and other related agencies to ensure the operation's success.
