Baghdad: The Arab Police Cross Country Championship commenced this evening in Baghdad, drawing participation from 12 Arab countries and countless runners, including Olympic medalists. This event marks a significant gathering of athletic talent in the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Interior announced that Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari attended the event, which is hosted by the Iraqi Police Sports Federation. Al-Shammari emphasized his dedication to supporting this prominent Arab sporting event.
The championship also saw the presence of Major General Khalid bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, President of both the Arab and Qatari Police Sports Federations. Several delegations and notable sports figures attended the event, underscoring the importance of the tournament in fostering sports cooperation among Arab nations.
