Gaza city: Israeli aircraft bombed inhabited homes in Gaza City on Saturday, resulting in martyrs, while the occupation forces again targeted crowds of starving people searching for food, resulting in casualties.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, sources in Gaza hospitals said: “Eleven people were martyred by Israeli army fire in several areas of the Strip since dawn today.” Several neighborhoods in Gaza City were bombed as the Israeli occupation forces continued to threaten residents with a displacement southward, towards what they claim are safe locations in the Al-Mawasi area, which extends from Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip to Rafah in the south.
The targeting also included other areas in the central and southern Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian sources. Meanwhile, Western media reported that Israeli aircraft dropped leaflets early today over the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, urging residents of the western neighborhoods to move south.
The media added that the leaflets warned residents of the southern neighborhoods of Rimal, Sheikh Ajlin, Tal al-Hawa, and Gaza Port to evacuate their areas and head south. The Israeli army has repeatedly warned residents of Gaza City to evacuate ahead of a military operation aimed at occupying the city. However, Israeli officials acknowledged that there are no indications that Gaza City residents will succumb to the threats and flee the city.
