Salah al-din: Salah al-Din Criminal Court issued a three-year prison sentence against a convict for promoting the ideas of the banned Baath Party on social media.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Judicial Council stated that the sentence was issued based on the provisions of Article 9 of Law No. 32 of 2016, which prohibits the Baath Party and racist, terrorist, and Takfiri entities, parties, and activities. The ruling also referenced the provisions of Article 132/3 of the Penal Code.
