Diwaniyah: A person has been arrested by the Anti-Organized Crime Department in Diwaniyah on charges of promoting banned mercury. The arrest was a result of a well-planned ambush that relied on intelligence information and close monitoring.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Diwaniyah Police Command confirmed the arrest in a statement, highlighting the strategic approach taken by law enforcement. The statement revealed that the operation led to the seizure of approximately half a kilogram of highly toxic mercury from the accused.
