Basra: The technical and engineering staff of the Iraqi Drilling Company completed the drilling of the Zubair/660 oil well in the Zubair oil field in Basra Governorate on Tuesday, reaching a depth of 3,673 meters. The drilling was executed for the Italian company Eni, the field’s operator, in collaboration with Schlumberger Oil Services.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company stated in a statement that this achievement is part of its commitment to implementing the Ministry of Oil’s plans, which aim to enhance production capacities and develop oil fields. The company emphasized the role of national expertise in completing work efficiently and within the specified timeframes.

The company’s general manager, Hassan Mohammed Hassan, confirmed in the statement that this success reflects the capabilities of the Iraqi Drilling Company, both in terms of its specialized technical staff and modern equipment.
