Gaza: The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll from famine and malnutrition has risen to 453, including 150 children.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry indicated in an official statement that since the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) declared famine in Gaza, there have been 175 additional deaths recorded, including 35 children. This escalation in health indicators coincides with continued intensive Israeli attacks in various areas of the Gaza Strip. A child was killed and others were injured near the Netzarim axis while gathering to receive aid.
Meanwhile, Israeli aircraft conducted shelling west of Deir al-Balah, resulting in the deaths of a mother and her six children. The raids also targeted the al-Shati refugee camp in western Gaza and the al-Zawaida area in the central Gaza Strip. Artillery shelling targeted Khan Yunis, and heavy tank fire occurred east of Deir al-Balah.
Western media reported that quadcopter aircraft dropped tear gas bombs on civilian homes near al-Shifa Hospital west of Gaza City, aiming to force families to flee. The situation has exhausted those forced out of the city and heading south.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned of a potential collapse of the humanitarian system inside Gaza City, where nearly half a million people are trapped in a small area, with the risk of fuel running out within two days, threatening to halt ambulance and rescue services.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health emphasized that 361 medical personnel remain detained in Israeli prisons amid a worsening crisis of shortages of medicines and medical supplies. It warned of an imminent collapse of the health sector if the current situation persists.
