Washington: The Iraqi Embassy in Washington has announced the return of a rare ibex statue. The announcement was made on Tuesday, highlighting the significance of the event as a cultural milestone.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the embassy shared a post on the X platform stating, “Today we celebrated the return of the ibex statue to Iraq, in an event that is not only cultural, but also affirms our natural status as the cradle of human civilization.”

The statement further elaborated on the importance of the artifact, emphasizing that the rare piece embodies the craftsmanship and artistic genius of Iraq’s ancient civilization in metalwork, dating back more than 4,500 years.
