Minister of Culture Discusses Expanding Air Links and Joint Cooperation with Malaysian Counterpart


Malacca: Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, engaged in discussions with his Malaysian counterpart, Dato’ Sri Tiong Keng Seng, to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in tourism and culture.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the World Tourism Day and the World Tourism Congress held in Malacca, Malaysia. The discussions centered around developing Muslim-friendly tourism and hospitality, as well as identifying opportunities for joint collaboration within the “Visit Malaysia 2026” campaign.



Both ministers emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between the peoples of Iraq and Malaysia. They deliberated on the possibility of expanding air links between the two nations to facilitate easier travel and cultural exchange, thereby promoting the rich cultural heritage of both countries.
