Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid has affirmed Iraq’s commitment to bolstering its ties with Lebanon. The statement was made during a meeting at Baghdad Palace with the Lebanese Ambassador to Iraq, Ali Adeeb Al-Habhab, as the ambassador’s tenure comes to an end.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Rashid expressed Iraq’s dedication to nurturing its fraternal relationship with Lebanon and extended his best wishes to Ambassador Al-Habhab for his future endeavors. The President’s comments underscored the importance Iraq places on its diplomatic relationships with neighboring countries.
Ambassador Al-Habhab, in response, lauded President Rashid’s role in enhancing the bilateral relations between Iraq and Lebanon. He expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support he received during his service in Iraq, acknowledging the President’s efforts in fostering strong and cooperative ties between the two nations.
