Budapest: Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus stated that the establishment of a fully sovereign Palestinian state within the pre-1967 borders is essential for achieving peace in the Middle East.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Kurtulmus made this assertion during a speech at the inauguration of a Turkish Maarif Schools building in Hungary, alongside Hungarian Parliament Speaker L¡szl³ K¶v©r. He articulated Turkey’s commitment to defending the rights of the Palestinian people and emphasized the country’s role in representing the Palestinian cause on international platforms.
Kurtulmus called for an end to the Israeli aggression against Palestinians, citing the severe impact of the conflict, which has resulted in the loss of nearly 70,000 Palestinian lives. He underscored the importance of establishing a just peace that would allow Palestinians to regain their lands, viewing it as a crucial step towards peace not only in the Middle East but also globally.
