Hamas Approves Trump’s Prisoner Exchange Proposal and Expresses Willingness to Transfer Gaza Administration

Gaza: The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas announced today its approval of U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal regarding a prisoner exchange deal with Israel, affirming its readiness to immediately enter negotiations through mediators to discuss the operational details.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hamas expressed its agreement to release all occupation prisoners, whether alive or remains, in accordance with the exchange formula outlined in Trump's proposal, provided that suitable field conditions are ensured for the process. Hamas added that it is ready to start negotiations immediately on the technical aspects of the deal.

The movement also reiterated its willingness to transfer the administration of the Gaza Strip to an independent Palestinian technocratic body, which would be formed through national consensus and supported by Arab and Islamic countries.

The statement further emphasized that other issues contained in the proposal-concerning the future of Gaza and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people-remain dependent on a unified national Palestinian position and must be based on relevant international laws and resolutions.
