Washington: Iraq's oil exports to the United States exceeded four million barrels during September, marking a significant decline compared to August, when exports reached about 7.9 million barrels.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported that Iraq's total crude oil exports to the U.S. amounted to 4.2 million barrels, with an average of 231,000 barrels per day during the first week of September, 123,000 barrels per day in the second week, 197,000 barrels per day in the third week, and only 8,000 barrels per day in the fourth week.

The administration indicated that Iraq ranked sixth among the top oil exporters to the United States last month, following Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and Nigeria.

At the Arab level, Iraq came in second place after Saudi Arabia, ahead of Libya, which ranked third.
