Jerusalem: The Israeli Ministry of Defense published updated data on the casualties this Monday morning, marking the second anniversary of the October 7 attack.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, 1,152 Israeli soldiers have been killed since October 7, 2023. Of these, 42% (487 soldiers) were under the age of 21, while 141 of the deceased were over the age of 40.
The data, released by the Ministry of Defense’s Families, Remembrances, and Heritage Administration, includes casualties from the army, the Israeli police, the General Security Service (Shin Bet), and members of the preparedness teams who were involved in operations across the Gaza Strip, the south, the north, Lebanon, and the West Bank.
In the previous year, an additional 262 Israeli soldiers lost their lives. Most of these were young, single men in regular service. This number includes 43 members of the preparedness teams, along with 100 members of the Israeli police, 9 from the Shin Bet, and 8 from the Israeli Prison Service.
