BOC Arrests Multiple Suspects and Seizes Unlicensed Weapons in Baghdad


Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command forces arrested a number of suspects, including three accused of “premeditated murder,” and seized unlicensed weapons and ammunition.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the command stated that a joint force from the Federal Police, supported by Al-Amin Police Department and intelligence agencies, discovered an unidentified body in Al-Fadhiliya area, east of the capital. After cordoning off the area and reviewing surveillance footage, the authorities identified the perpetrators and arrested three suspects for premeditated murder.



The statement further detailed that individuals involved in armed clashes and foreigners violating residency and citizenship regulations were also arrested. Additionally, through the efforts of the 17th, 2nd, and 5th Infantry Divisions of the Federal Police, a number of unlicensed weapons and ammunition were seized in the areas of Latifiya, Al-Bunuk neighborhood, and Al-Hussein neighborhood.
