Nuclear Regulatory Authority and Financial Supervision Authority Discuss Cooperation to Protect Public Funds and Enhance Institutional Performance Efficiency


Baghdad: The Chairman of the National Authority for Nuclear, Radiological, Chemical, and Biological Regulatory Affairs, Fadel Hawi Mazban, discussed with the Chairman of the Federal Board of Supreme Audit, Ammar Subhi Khalaf, ways of cooperation between the two sides in the areas of regulatory and technical work. A statement by the Authority stated: “The Chairman of the National Authority met with the Chairman of the Board of Supreme Audit at the Board’s headquarters today, Monday. During the meeting, they discussed preparing joint work programs to protect public funds and enhance institutional performance efficiency in accordance with modern regulatory standards, with a focus on exchanging technical expertise and developing joint regulatory plans to enhance the role of regulatory bodies and ensure the optimal use of resources.”



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Hawi emphasized the Authority’s commitment to developing effective institutional partnerships with national regulatory bodies, noting that cooperation with the Financial Supervision Bureau represents an important step toward an integrated regulatory system that protects public funds and supports good governance.



For his part, the Chairman of the Financial Supervision Bureau praised the National Authority’s role in enhancing safety and quality standards in the nuclear, radiation, chemical, and biological sectors, emphasizing the importance of ongoing coordination to improve regulatory performance across state institutions.
