Tunis: The General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers has condemned the terrorist acts against the Palestinian people in the occupied territories. This condemnation was expressed during the conclusion of the 28th Arab Conference of Counter-Terrorism Officials, which focused on strengthening Arab security cooperation and coordination in combating terrorism across the region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the conference took place with the participation of counter-terrorism officials from Arab interior ministries alongside various international organizations, including the League of Arab States and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. The discussions centered on developments in terrorism and strategies to counteract them, especially focusing on financing, lone wolf phenomena, and the exploitation of technology for terrorist purposes.
The conference emphasized the importance of enhancing information exchange and cooperation among Arab nations to effectively confront terrorism. Participants unanimously condemned the terrorist actions against Palestinians and called for measures to address these acts. The conference also reviewed the counter-terrorism experiences of member states and stressed the value of these experiences for collective regional security efforts.
The outcomes and recommendations of this conference are set to be presented at the next session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers for further action.
