Basra: Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, inaugurated the Third Marine Pipeline Project today at Grand Faw Port.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the spokesperson for the Basra Oil Company stated that the project includes the completion of the third marine pipeline, which transports crude oil from the Faw depot to export ports in the Arabian Gulf.

The project will be executed in three phases. The first phase involves connecting the pipeline to the port of Al-Amaya and attempting to operate this port. The second phase focuses on connecting it to the Basra Oil Port to ensure the sustainability of oil exports. The third phase involves completing the installation of the floating unit with a capacity of 900,000 barrels per day. The project is expected to add a confirmed capacity of approximately two million barrels per day.
