Baghdad: The Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of 3 kg of narcotic substance at Arar port. The Arar Border Port Directorate's detachments successfully arrested an Iraqi traveler who was driving a vehicle with foreign license plates. Inside the vehicle, a narcotic substance weighing 3 kg was discovered, hidden in a sophisticated manner in an attempt to smuggle it into the country.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a formal seizure report was prepared in collaboration with the relevant departments. The accused, along with the vehicle, was handed over to the Anti-Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Division at Arar port. The accused and the seized items will be presented before the investigating judge of the Rutba Court for appropriate legal action.
