Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, chaired a meeting on the pricing of Iraqi oil in global markets. The meeting took place on Sunday and was held at the Ministry's headquarters.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Ministry's undersecretaries and the general managers of the Oil Marketing Company, along with other relevant departments. The attendees reviewed reports from market research agencies at the State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) concerning the balance of global supply and demand for crude oil. The meeting also focused on analyzing oil prices in Asian, European, and American markets to determine the appropriate pricing for Iraqi oil in these regions.
