Cairo: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned the Kurdish SDF against being drawn into wrong paths that threaten Syria's unity and territorial integrity. In statements to reporters on his flight back from Egypt after participating in the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit, Erdogan said: "Those who seek to drag Syria back into conflict do not seek good for the Kurds, the Druze, or the Alawites. Those who align their compass with Ankara and Damascus will win, and those who seek other patrons will lose."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish President explained that the integration of the SDF into state institutions in Syria as soon as possible will accelerate the country's development. He added, "We hope that the SDF will adopt a position that supports Syria's territorial integrity and that they will work together toward a prosperous future."

Erdogan stressed that Turkey will continue its comprehensive communications with Syria at all levels. He said, "We are determined to strengthen close coordination and cooperation with Damascus in order to preserve the gains of Syria and the region."

Erdogan emphasized that he appreciates the Syrian government's approach to moving toward the future with an understanding that includes all ethnic and religious components of the country, and that this serves the interests of both Syria and Turkey.
