U.S. President Donald Trump reaffirmed his country’s firm commitment to its strategic partnership with the Republic of Iraq and to strengthening joint cooperation in various fields to support regional stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a congratulatory message to President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid on the occasion of Iraq’s 93rd National Day, Trump said: “On behalf of the American people, we extend our warmest congratulations to you, your government, and the people of Iraq as you celebrate this special national occasion.”

He noted that this year has witnessed significant achievements that highlight Iraq’s resilience and its growing leadership role in the region, including the successful hosting of the Arab League Summit in Baghdad, which demonstrated Iraq’s ability to foster regional dialogue and cooperation. He also pointed to the April visit by the U.S.-Iraq Business Council, which underscored the strength of the economic partnership between the two countries.

Trump added that the United States remains committed to deepening its strategic partnership with Iraq and to working together to strengthen regional stability, enhance energy security, and prevent the resurgence of terrorism. He emphasized that Washington looks forward to continuing cooperation on shared priorities and building on the momentum of their economic achievements.
