Baghdad: President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received a congratulatory cable from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the occasion of Iraqi National Day, marking the 93rd anniversary of Iraq’s entry into the League of Nations in 1932.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Palestinian President expressed his pride in the strong fraternal relations between the two countries, wishing health and success to the Iraqi President and hoping for further stability and prosperity for Iraq and its people.

The President also received congratulatory messages from several world leaders, including Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, President Lee Jae-myung of South Korea, and President Karol Navrotsky of Poland. These leaders conveyed their wishes for health and happiness for President Rashid and expressed hopes for peace, progress, and prosperity for the Iraqi people.
