Kremlin: Putin and Trump Hold a Phone Call


Moscow: Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Thursday that Russian President Vladimir Putin had a phone call with his US counterpart, Donald Trump. Russia 1 Channel journalist Pavel Zarubin revealed on his Telegram channel that Peskov confirmed the ongoing conversation between the Russian and US presidents.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, earlier today, US media sources reported that US President Donald Trump planned to hold a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the Ukrainian crisis. This call was scheduled to occur one day before Trump hosts Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.



US President Donald Trump indicated on Wednesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is interested in achieving peace with Ukraine. Trump expressed this sentiment at the White House when asked about the potential for peace in Ukraine, stating, “I think President Putin wants to achieve that.”
